Technical Resources for Western North Dakota Industrial Projects

Ruach Resources provides industrial technical resources that Western North Dakota contractors can rely on for ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and transportation logistics. All of our materials adhere to ASTM concrete compliance ND requirements and NDDOT Section 816 aggregate standards. Our industrial service guides support engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists by outlining material performance data and delivery capabilities.

Why Technical Compliance Matters in the Williston Basin

Industrial construction in the Williston Basin can prove challenging due to extreme climate conditions, remote job sites, and the heavy demands of oilfield infrastructure. Materials used for roads, pipelines, and foundations must meet precise Bakken construction specifications to withstand heavy truck traffic and the freeze-thaw cycles common in this region.

Ruach Resources supports local projects with verified testing data and materials produced to meet ASTM concrete compliance standards, guaranteeing consistent performance in this high-stakes environment. We supply products that meet NDDOT aggregate standards and develop engineered custom mix designs that North Dakota contractors can use with confidence. Together, these resources stabilize job sites and maintain structural integrity even under the extreme weather conditions common in the Williston Basin.

Additionally, our team coordinates Williston Basin trucking logistics to make sure ready-mix and aggregates arrive on schedule for critical pours. This integrated approach supports efficient oilfield infrastructure procurement, allowing contractors and engineers to verify technical requirements before materials arrive on site.

NON-CHLORIDE ACCELERATOR (NCA)(PDF)

ACCELGUARD® NCA is an accelerating concrete admixture that reduces water while improving workability and compressive strength. Using this non-chloride accelerator allows concrete to set in just 1-4 hours, as well as decreasing segregation and bleeding. NCA is ideal for cold weather concreting and is most effective at temperatures of 35°F to 50°F. A typical dosage of 12 - 75 oz per 100 lbs of cementitious material should be added to the concrete mixture's initial batch water.

DELAYED SET (PDF)

EUCON™ DS is a set retarding concrete admixture that nearly stops cement from hydrating during lengthy pumping operations and hot weather. This delayed set admixture retains slumps of 8” to 10 for 2+ hours, making it ideal for concrete applications that require an extended slump life. DS should be added to water and sand during concrete batching at a typical dosage of 1 - 16 oz per 100 lbs of cementitious material, though dosage rates may vary based on temperature and required retardation levels.

MID/HIGH-RANGE WATER REDUCER (PDF)

PLASTOL™ 6420 is a polycarboxylate admixture that functions as a mid/high range water reducer. Using this water reducer improves a concrete batch's strength and workability retention, while reducing water requirement and permeability. Applications of PLASTOL™ 6420 include ready-mix, precast concrete, cast in place, and self-consolidating concrete. This product can be added either to the batch water or to a fresh batch of concrete, with a recommended dosage range of 2-10 oz per 100lbs of cementitious material.

AIR ENTRAINMENT (PDF)

EUCON™ AEA-92 is an air entraining concrete admixture that is compatible with all types of mixes but should not be added with other admixtures. This air entraining agent provides optimal bubble size and spacing, which protects concrete from damage during freeze/thaw cycles. EUCON™ AEA-92 delivers precise performance when used with ready-mix, structural, paving, mass, and exterior concrete. To entrain 3-6% air content, the agent is usually dosed at a rate of 0.1 to 4 oz per 100 lbs of cementitious material.

ANTI-BLEED & ANTI-SEGREGATION (PDF)

EUCON™ AWA-P20 is a rheology-modifying concrete admixture that evenly disperses aggregates within the mix. This product significantly reduces excessive concrete bleeding and segregation. EUCON™ AWA-P20 is designed for underwater construction applications, removing the need for costly de-watering processes. This modifying admixture should be added after concrete has been batched and either polycarboxylate HRW or water has been used to adjust the slump.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Section 816 of the North Dakota Department of Transportation establishes requirements for the gradation, durability, cleanliness, and quality testing of aggregate products. Aggregates used for roads, pads, and infrastructure must meet these NDDOT aggregate standards to provide structural stability and long-term performance in the freeze-thaw climate of the Williston Basin.

  • Ruach Resources uses heated mixing capabilities and chemical accelerants to provide dependable cold-weather concrete delivery during the winter months. Our practices help maintain ASTM concrete compliance for ND contractors and make sure that concrete can achieve proper strength during extreme winter conditions in the Bakken area.
